I am interested in the following families. So far I have collected a fair bit, most of which is on a private tree in Ancestry.com. Please use the contact form at the bottom of this page if you are also interested in any of the families named. I no longer share my information publicly for the most selfish of reasons – I want to actually communicate with anyone who is a relative of mine. :-)
As an aside, I suffer from a genetic eye disorder called Keratoconus. Theoretically I needed to have inherited from both my mother’s and my father’s family. So if you suffer from this and you belong to one fo the families mentioned below, then I would really love to chat.
The Long family of Norfolk
The earliest that the paper trail leads back is to Wimbotsham in Norfolk in the late 1600s, although DNA evidence suggests an Irish origin for the family. My branch then moved to Downham Market in the 1700s and 1800s before ending up in Cambridge. Below is Charles Worrell Blades Long (1866-1921) with his wife Elizabeth Cave and his children.

Hi Greg. Charles Worrall Blades was my great-grandfather too. Doing some family research (as is my sister, who found your site). Likely to be visiting NZ in next couple of years – not imminently. Good to chat: email preferred. Details below.

This is a new list for today. I’m sorry about the last two lists. You may find some proxies not working the way they should. There was also duplicates in the list. I’m still learning about free public proxies. I hope you can make good use out of this list.

Hi
I’ve been researching the crash of a Wellington Bomber T2802 in 1942 in which my uncle, Flight Sergeant John George Ypres Boyle, was killed. I’m trying to find family of the other crew members for more information and have found an old link from Cambridgeshire News from a Greg Long in Australia who was the nephew of Bryan Vernon Long who was also killed in the accident. Please can you let me know if this is you?
Thank you.
Kind regards, Phil Boyle.
