LOL. That’s how my pal Mustakettu85 makes me feel, but I am not going to let it stop me 🙂 Thanks for commenting, my friend 🙂

Ghastly has recently released this awesome freebie: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/rig-a-tony/76339
Basically it’s a biped rig for DS that could be used for custom figures.
And BTW, I was reading through the specs of the newest DS build, and something about improved FBX import was mentioned.

Thanks. I’ve downloaded it, but as I have never rigged before it’s a bit beyond me. Do you know any good tutorials on how to go about using it?

Well, using this one is really straightforward: just how Ghastly describes in the text blurb. If you want more info about DS rigging in general, like, how to approach modifying weight maps, there are a couple of relatively inexpensive paid tutorials in the DAZ store (look for the one about the gingerbread man). In the freebie world, I’ve only seen tutorials about rigging clothing or tentacles.

Thanks. I read the blurb but it’s an area of which I know so little that the terms were meaningless to me. I will have to do some reading. 🙂 Thanks 🙂

Oh sorry, I thought it all was common knowledge. Here is a content page from the official documentation that might be helpful: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/rigging/start

Thanks. I’ve been teaching myself in a pretty non-linear manner 🙂
